GUCCI CAMPAIGN
I have collaborated with a lot of SCAD fashion marketing students to photograph their mock brand advertisements. This specific campaign was for Gucci. We shot at the SCAD Equestrian Center. The creative director, Isabella Lepore, gathered all of the clothing and props. Then we worked together to pick specific spots to shoot the photos.
“CIRCUS THAT IS LIFE”
Friends remember going to the circus when they were younger and absolutely loving it. They went again years later and everything changed, it was not what they remembered, the acts were boring, the only good thing there was the snacks. They decide to partake in some illegal substances while there. They get giggly, and happy and start seeing things and it turns the circus into the crazy utopia they remember.
“MODERN PRINCESSES”
Sandy Liang is inspired through tapping into her childhood, and letting it come out in her designs. I want to play into that and tap into a few things that remind me of my childhood. My favorite thing to play with as a kid were sticker books, where you can peel off the stickers and arrange them onto the set background page. There was a specific princess one that was my favorite, so I decided to make my own.
“WOMEN IN SPORTS”
Photos are metaphors, making the abstract concrete and mystifying the mundane. Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself.
